Meet the Instructors: Nadia
I practiced yoga at the Kirpalu Institute in Lenox MA for most of my childhood. In my teens I decided to take on an adventure to explore the world and dive deeper into my practice. I studied under a Indian trained yogi in Bali Indonesia. That is where I started to learn more about Pranayama work. In 2014, I started to teach in South Africa and throughout south east Asia. I deeply believe in the synergy between yoga and surfing, as well as our own connection to the land and the sea. I received my official 200 hour training at CorePower in LA, however I have been defining and perfecting my own specific yoga flow that combines traditional hatha and vinyasa yoga with dynamic surf postures to open the hips and shoulders while stabilizing the core.

What to expect:
Whether yoga is new to you, or it is already your way of life, our retreats cater to every level of yogi.
The Morning:
Yogis will wake up to the beautiful sound of waves crashing and tropical birds whistling good morning songs. For those who wake early, there is a lite breakfast to be enjoyed with freshly brewed local coffee and teas. At 8 am we meet for our first yoga class of the day surfers and yogis alike are encouraged to take part in this awakening flow in our outdoor yoga studio, over looking the pacific ocean. We then enjoy a full hot breakfast with local treats and familiar favorites like pancakes, french toast, tortillas and eggs gathered from the chicken coops on property.

After breakfast, the surfers set out to catch the first set of waves for the day as the yogis prepare for Workshop. Workshop is an hour of exploration. Throughout the week we will build on projects, perfect postures, dive into discussion, meditate etc. After this the whole group meets back up for a perfectly prepared lunch. After lunch is a time for for everyone to enjoy themselves. To catch some rays, have a surf lessons, take a hike, or maybe even a nap in one of the many hammocks.

Following our after noon R&R, is a nightly yin yoga class. As the sun begins to set in the sky, soft postures and gentle movements help wind our bodies down for a restful evening. There is enough time to have a shower under the stars or change into fresh clothing before the whole group meets up again for dinner and nightly activities. Depending on the evening we will have bonfires, watch surf movies, view photos taken from the day or play silly games. When you are ready for sleep, your bed awaits!
